Connection on Discord
The Discord has three Expo Hall Chat channels that will be open starting Monday, August 10 (KST) to give you all time to actually check out the exhibits. We’d like to briefly outline the expectations and guidelines for those spaces. Schedules can be found on the channel – make sure to always check the pinned messages for current information.
- General Operation: We will pin a message at the beginning of each session block so you can easily find the start of the session thread. The blocks we’ve scheduled are a bit longer in order to allow more people the opportunity to pose questions, but the exhibitor might not be present for the entire session. They can pick and choose which questions to answer and “Quote” to reply to the post. If you like someone else’s question you can add a supportive emoji reaction to it.
- Q&A Sessions: Some exhibitors have volunteered to take questions by chat about their research and projects. We envision a relaxed chat similar to an AMA or a Twitter chat.
- Feedback Sessions: As opposed to Q&A sessions these are where the exhibitor would specifically like feedback on their idea, mentor ship or other ways to improve their work. Please be kind in your advice as most put these presentations together very quickly, may be new to the format or presenting in a second language.
- Submission Consult: Similar to Feedback Sessions this channel is to consult the representatives from the Rhizomatic Revolution Review, the Korean Marketing Association and other research publishing bodies attending the conference for specific feedback about a project you are considering submitting. It can be done publicly on the channel so others can learn from the answers or requested there and then continued through DM.
